I decided to change it up and I recorded my first video for Zandibot. My video production skills need work, but if you guy love videos, I will continue learn more and provide you better production! Today, I am covering the process I use to bulk forward all of my domain names to Afternic buy it now pages. This is a new approach for me in 2016 and I wanted to share the process with you as well. If you have any questions, feedback, or suggestions for videos, comment below! Hope you enjoy!
[Really cool Zandibot Introduction] Ali Zandi: Hey Guys, Ali Zandi here, Zandibot.com. I’m doing something new this week, starting to do videos now. I think it’s a lot easier to learn from watching and seeing than it is to read it so give me some feedback. If you like the videos, I’ll keep doing the videos. If not, I’ll go back to writing posts. This stuff is for you guys. Today, I’m going to be talking about my new approach in 2016. That’s going to be buying domain names and selling them through a ‘buy it now’ process that includes: Afternic, Namerserver.io and a couple other places. But I wanted to show you how I do it. I have all my domain names forwarding via Nameserver to their specific ‘buy it now’ pages on Afternic. [Turns on screen sharing] So if I type in VRVG.com, it automatically forwards now to it’s ‘buy it now’ page on Afternic. I’m going to show you guys how I do that and hopefully it’ll make your selling process a lot easier. So first things first – today I registered a domain, startpraying.org. I think it’s a great domain name and it has long-term potential. So what I’m going to do first is I am going to take startpraying.org (I’m already in Afternic) and I’ll click, “Add Domains.” I’ll click it again so you can see what pops up. Then I’ll enter the domain here, so [Types ‘startpraying.org’ in Afternic’s ‘Enter Domain Names’ bar] I’ll enter the domain. I’ll click continue and then I’ll then I’ll hop into my pricing. So what I want to do – so ‘buy it now’ pricing, let’s say, start praying. I’m going to put it up for like $3895 as a buy it now. Floor price – this is the price that people can negotiate for it. You know I have my floor price - I won’t tell you yet because it’s public, and the minimum I will take is $1000 as an offer. It doesn’t mean I’ll sell it for $1000 but that means that I want to make sure that anybody who is placing an offer on the domain is at least willing to go over $1000 so I know that they are serious about it. So I’ll submit the domain. Later I’ll come back in and put the floor price – it’s not necessary. If it does get an offer over $1000, usually Afternic will contact you and tell you that, “Hey! You know we have an offer, set a floor price and we can negotiate it for you.” So now that I have the domain in Afternic, what I’ll do is that I’ll open up one of my domains that’s already in there. I’ll take just that first string - I’ll leave the domain out. Then I’ll go to Namerserver.io. This is great! You know, Mike at Park.io set this up. We were talking and I was like, “It’s impossible to forward all my domains at once.” So he’s like, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll make something,” and I was like, ‘this is fantastic!” So you guys use it: nameserver.io. It’s a great; it’s a great little program. So what I’ll do, I’ll paste it here and then I’ll place ‘domain’ within it right here and It’ll create my custom Afternic nameservers. So I’ll copy this one and I’ll go to Uniregistry and type in my new nameserver, and then I’ll take my second one and go back to Uniregistry and type it in… Save it. Now technically, once this updates, startpraying.org should automatically forward to here - to this link, to startpraying.org, the domain. Obviously, it might not do it yet but then again it might. Nope, nothing yet, it’s at Uniregistry. All right, so once that forwards, it’s going to go directly to a landing page here and the great part about this is if you use Afternic, you can go back to ‘Add Domains’ right, and you can download a spreadsheet – a blank template. And I’ll open this up so you can see it. So you can see here I can put the domain - I can just paste all of my domains in here. Paste them all in here, so on and so forth and you know I have my prices – my buy it now price and so on. Then I can upload all of my domains at once. I actually use the spreadsheet to keep track of all my stuff because it’s easier. I add a couple more columns over here on the left hand side and then I’ll do like categories, tld, price I paid and so on. When I get ready to upload it, I’ll just highlight everything to the right here and leave those empty and I’ll export it and upload it to Afternic. So once it’s uploaded to Afternic (right here, you can click ‘upload spreadsheet’), then all of my domains are already in Afternic and the only thing I have to do is bulk-forward everything by way of this custom nameserver that I have. So, if I wanted them all to go to Afternic, I’ll put this link in. If I had my own marketplace, you know if it was like raindrop.com/domain/’the domain’ then that’s where I’d forward it. But you can bulk-forward everything and it will automatically set it up. Like all of my domains are now forwarding to these Afternic ‘Buy it Now’ landing pages. That’s how you make passive sales is if you have a lot of domains, a lot of quality stuff, decent pricing and you forward everything to a buy it now page and even on all of their partner networks. I don’t know if this one shows up yet but it’s kind of new, but it might. You can buy it right here, all the other partner networks. It’s a fantastic way. It’s really hands off. It is really, really easy to do and set up. All you need is your domains, you have your spreadsheet, you upload it and you forward everything to a custom nameserver. You know you have your buy it now prices, floor prices and your minimum offers, and literally you don’t need to think about that domain again until renewals come up. It’s pretty cool! I just wanted to show you guys this methodology. If there’s anything else you guys want to learn, want to see me do, this is the first video. They are likely going to get better and better as we go. But yeah, feel free to comment below, let me know what you want, what you want to see next, and yeah sign up for the newsletter. Thanks!
